Reading can be a real pain. It can be boring and hard. The answer to this problem is to cheat. Easy peasy. Funky Duck loves to read now but it took a lot of hard talking to get him there. Then he became an actor and read books aloud in funny voices.
The first part of cheating is to pick really easy books that you can read really fast. Sometimes these books are boring so be a dude and entertain your mates by fooling around.
Here give this a go.
There was an old woman who swallowed a fly, I don't know why she swallowed a fly perhaps she'll die.
How can you read this so that it is entertaining.
1) Learn it so you don't have to read it.
2) Use your expression to show what the old lady may be feeling.
3) Grab your throat as if the disgusting fly might get trapped.
4) Collapse on the floor - "oh dear, perhaps she'll die."
Practise this, make it fun but don't over do it and look like a duh. :-p
